This one’s for Mom!
Believe it or not, this week’s recipe was actually my Mom’s idea. She’d listened to our podcast episode 15 some time ago and bought herself a bottle of Tuaca. With the weather getting cold, she was determined to try the “Hot Apple Pie” cocktail that we’d mentioned.
So when Chris and I arrived at her house the evening before Thanksgiving, we were greeted with hugs, welcomes and a subtle hint: two bottles of Apple Cider and Tuaca. Thankfully, that’s all this super simple cocktail needs!
THE TWO-STEP
Make this drink as simply as you like – we made ours with just apple cider and Tuaca, but you can add garnish and / or whipped cream to make it more interesting. Personally, I like it just the way it is. Just fill a mug 3/4th’s full with Cider and add Tuaca to taste – then zap in the microwave until it’s as warm as you like it. Really, you can hardly call it a “recipe” it’s so easy!
Hot Apple Pie Cocktail
Equipment
- 1 Standard Bar Spoons optional
Ingredients
- 5 oz Spiced Apple Cider
- 2 oz Tuaca
- 1 each Whipped Cream Top, optional
- 1 each Cinnamon Stick Garnish, optional
Instructions
- Add cider and Tuaca to a microwave-safe mug and heat to taste in the microwave.
- (Optional) top with whipped cream and add a cinnamon stick for garnish.
