This cocktail is just as the name sounds: It’s a variation of the classic Old Fashioned cocktail, although the whiskey is offset with a touch of Grand Marnier. It is a deep and rich cocktail with a lot of layers and is definitely one for slow and enjoyable sipping.

I prefer this cocktail with rye whiskey, which brings a nice element of spice to help round out the caramel and nutty flavors from the Grand Marnier, and then I couple that with the Demerara Syrup to bring out more of the vanilla and toffee notes. Leave us a comment and let us know what you think of this orange liqueur twist on the Old Fashioned!
