We’re beyond excited to announce something we’ve been working on behind the scenes for quite a while: A Bar Above’s very first cocktail glassware collection is officially here!
Whether you’re a cocktail hobbyist or a seasoned bartender, we believe the glass you use is almost as important as the drink itself. That’s why we’ve carefully designed a line of premium bar glasses to elevate your cocktail experience.
Each style is available in both Classic (clear, clean lines) and Diamond Cut, available in boxes of two. OK, so let’s meet our first 4 styles:

Coupe Glass
Originally used for Champagne in England in the 17th century, the coupe glass later became a mainstay for cocktails in the Prohibition era and beyond. Its shallow, broad bowl is ideal for drinks served “up”– shaken or stirred with ice, then strained and served without it. It’s the perfect glass for these cocktails:

This modern classic from bartender Joaquín Simó is bold & smoky– And it just so happens to be in my personal top 5.
-

-
¾ oz Aperol
-
¾ oz Yellow Chartreuse
-
¾ oz Fresh Lime Juice
Directions: Shake with ice and double strain into a chilled coupe. No garnish needed.

Highball Glass
Specifically made for refreshing drinks served with ice, the highball glass is your go-to for “long drinks” topped with soda or sparkling water. Named after the highball cocktail style (liquor + mixer), this tall glass offers plenty of room for bubbly ingredients and is pretty interchangeable with the Collins glass, just with a slightly higher volume. Serve these classics in your highball glass:

Mojito Recipe
You’re probably already familiar with this bright, herbal Cuban favorite that features rum & mint.
-
2 oz White Rum
-
¾ oz Fresh Lime Juice
-
½ oz Simple Syrup
-
6–8 fresh Mint Leaves
-
Club Soda (to top)

Martini Glass
The Martini glass might be the most iconic shape in cocktail culture. Characterized by its wide, V-shaped bowl and long stem, it’s designed to keep your chilled drink cold while fully showcasing the aromas straight into your nose. While it’s known for its namesake, it’s also utilized for a variety of up-style cocktails:

Classic Martini Recipe
Clean, crisp, and endlessly customizable. If you don’t already have a favorite recipe, here’s a personal favorite.
-
2 oz London Dry Gin
-
1 oz Dry Vermouth
- 2 dashes Orange Bitters
-
Lemon Twist for garnish (or an olive, if that’s your thing)
Directions: Stir with ice until well-chilled (about 20 seconds), and then strain into a chilled Martini glass. Express a lemon twist over the top and then use it as your garnish, or drop in an olive for a briny flavor if you prefer.

Rocks Glass
Also known as an Old Fashioned glass or lowball glass, the rocks glass is a standard that works for so many drinks. It’s designed for cocktails served on the rocks or built in the glass itself, making it perfect for bold, spirit-forward drinks that benefit from slow dilution:

Mai Tai Recipe
A tropical classic, if it’s not served in a Hurricane glass, a rocks glass is the go-to for a Mai Tai.
Directions: Shake all ingredients except the dark rum with ice, and double strain into a rocks glass filled with crushed ice. Float the dark rum on top, and garnish with a mint sprig.
