MEET ZANE!
For almost two decades, Zane has been working in the spirits industry in one form or another. At the age of 24, he opened his first bar, Rob Roy, in Seattle. It’s been listed among Esquire’s top 50 bars on two occasions, Playboy’s Top American bars, and GQ’s Great American Bar Crawl and was featured on Anthony Bourdain’s The Layover. Harris has been lauded for the bartender exchange program that he started to encourage sharing information and experience in the industry.
In 2009, Zane kickstarted the large format ice movement that has changed cocktail service at high-end bars worldwide. Eight years ago, he invigorated the bar programs for the Milk & Honey group in New York before going into private consulting. In partnership with Riedel, he created the first ever Riedel Drink Specific Glassware Collection, which contains glasses designed specifically for six classic cocktail pours while catering to a bevy of over 3,000 cocktail combinations. He also co-owns Gateweaver Productions with his wife.
