Noticing a Theme Here?

Over the last couple of weeks we’ve been doing quite a few variations on the Last Word cocktail – and this one represents the conclusion.

This final variation was inspired by the floral notes of the maraschino and Green Chartreuse. We chose Hophead vodka by Anchor Distilling Company, because it has a pleasant floral note – a result of the production process where hops are macerated in neutral spirit before distillation. While hops have been known to contribute all sorts of funky flavors, in this case I felt a very strong floral element coming through. This cocktail is all about featuring and holding up the floral aroma and flavor.

The Last Hop

The Last Hop

This is our third variation on the Last Word cocktail – using Hophead Vodka to support the floral notes of the other ingredients.
