Lunch shifts helped a lot at my last job. The money was 75-80% of the night shift especially if I worked Friday lunch, and I got to see my wife a lot at night. Plus, she would stop in for lunch (and I was allowed to comp her meal and drinks!).
At my current job, I work 4 nights a week, and we’ve made lunch/a.m. outings on the weekend a routine. She opted for jobs with more flexible hours which helped incredibly too.
