Love the holidays? Then this cocktail competition is for you! Heering Cherry Liqueur & Difford’s Guide are hosting the international Cherry Christmas Cocktail Competition. Both professional bartenders and home cocktail enthusiasts are encouraged to craft an original, easily-replicated, Christmas-inspired cocktail using Heering Cherry Liqueur.
Cocktails should have no more than nine ingredients, focusing on taste, name creativity, replicability, and potential as a modern classic/broad appeal with readily-available ingredients. Contestants from Australia, Canada, Denmark, Germany, Japan, Netherlands, New Zealand, Spain, Thailand, UK and the US are eligible and will be judged by Simon Difford of Difford’s Guide and other DG members. One bartender and one home enthusiast will each win the grand prize of €1000 (approximately $1,078 US at time of publishing), with €500 (approx. $539) prizes for one runner-up in each category.
