Attention to all bartenders! We ALL should be more environmentally conscious, and consuming products from sustainable brands is a great way to start!
Carbon-negative company Novo Fogo knows this very well, which is why they pride themselves in creating organic Cachaças, made from sugarcane in a zero-waste distillery in the small town of Morretes, Brazil. Their advocacy for sustainable practices in the spirits industry is truly remarkable!
Now, Novo Fogo presents us with a new cocktail competition, as well as a very cool prize for not one, but TWO grand winners of their Bar Strength Challenge, following the release of their new Bar Strength Silver Cachaça. This contest is made for professional bartenders.
How to enter:

The challenge is to create an original cocktail that uses Novo Fogo’s Bar Strength Silver Cachaça as its main ingredient. The cocktail MUST be inspired by the theme of environmentally-friendly drinks. You can register here.

10 finalists and 3 alternates will be chosen, and they will be asked to submit a video no longer than 5 minutes preparing and describing their cocktail.
A panel of judges will evaluate the video submissions and recreate the recipes for in-person tasting. The entries will be judged based on appearance, taste, creativity, and environmental sustainability.
Prize:
TWO grand prize winners will win an all-expenses paid trip to visit Novo Fogo’s distillery in Morretes, Brazil. They will also get to enjoy delicious food and drinks, immerse themselves in the wonders of the Atlantic Rainforest, and experience a wide array of places, from the bars and museums of Curitiba to the historic coastal towns near the beach.
The next THREE winners will win $500, and the next FIVE will win $250. All finalists get a prize!
