Attention to all bartenders and cocktail enthusiasts! We have a very fun and special cocktail competition, courtesy of Cognac De Luze. They are looking for their next signature cocktail, one that will make justice to the finesse and richness of their amazing cognac. Finalists will have the opportunity to travel to De Luze’s live competition in Cognac, France for the chance to win EUR 2,000 in prize money, among many other cool prizes! This contest is open to bartenders and cocktail enthusiasts in the main countries where Cognac De Luze is distributed: Australia, Austria, Azerbaijan, Canada, Estonia, France, Germany, Italy, Latvia, United Kingdom, and the USA.
How to enter:
- Register directly on the competition website at https://cocktailcompetition.cognacdeluze.com/form/
- Send a horizontal selfie video of 60 seconds or less introducing yourself and answering the following questions: What is your favorite cognac cocktail, or your favorite cocktail that could be made using cognac as the main ingredient? Who are you, and why are you interested in mixology? You can send your video by email or via the webform.

After initial video submissions are reviewed, quarter-finalists will be announced in June, and they will receive a 35 cl bottle of Cognac De Luze that they’ll use for the real challenge: create a cocktail recipe that showcases the flavors of the cognac using ONLY three other ingredients.
You must enter (via email and an Instagram post tagging Cognac De Luze) a 60 second video recreating your recipe and talking about the story behind it. All recipes will be judged on creativity, taste, and presentation, and 5 finalists will be selected to compete in the final competition, which will take place in Cognac, France on October 13th, 2022. They will also get to experience a tour of De Luze’s distillery and aging cellars, as well as a tasting session with their master blender, Rémi Boinaud!
Prizes:
The overall winner will receive EUR 2,000 as well as prizes to the value of EUR 200! The four other finalists will each receive EUR 200.
