Teeling’s with Tea Cocktail

This take on the Fizz cocktail pairs Teeling’s Irish Whiskey with the aromatics of black tea.

Cocktail Ingredients

  • 1.5 oz Teeling’s Irish Whiskey
  • 1 oz Lemon Juice
  • 1 oz Black Tea Simple Syrup
  • 3/4 oz Egg White
  • 2 dashes Barrel Aged Orange Bitters
  • 3 oz Soda Water

Earl Gray Simple Syrup Ingredients

  • 1 cup Sugar
  • 1 cup Water
  • 1 each Tea Bag - Earl Gray Tea (Use Irish Breakfast Tea for a more "Irish" cocktail!)

Instructions

Cocktail Instructions

  • Add all ingredients-- except soda water-- to a cocktail shaker without ice, and “dry shake” to froth the egg white.
  • Add ice and shake again.
  • Double strain into a highball glass without ice, and top with soda water.

Black Tea Simple Syrup Instructions

  • Boil the water, and add the tea bag.
  • Let it steep for 5 minutes, & then discard the tea bag.
  • Add 1 cup of sugar, and stir until it has dissolved.
  • Cool before using.
