Summer Peach Julep

It tastes exactly how it sounds - and that is a very good thing.

Ingredients

  • 2 oz Bourbon
  • 10 leaves Mint
  • 1/2 oz Peach Syrup
  • 1 dash Dale DeGroff’s Pimento Bitters

Peach Syrup Ingredients

  • 1 ea Peach
  • 1 cup Sugar Equal weight to the peach

Instructions

  • Muddle mint leaves in a julep cup.
  • Add all other ingredients.
  • Add crushed ice (to fill the cup).
  • Stir until a frost forms on the outside of the julep cup.
  • Add more crushed ice to finish the cocktail.
  • Garnish with fresh mint.

Peach syrup Instructions

  • Chop peach into 1” pieces and remove the pit.
  • Add sugar and stir well.
  • Macerate for 2-4 hours.
  • Strain and chill.
