Bombay Government Punch

  • 16 oz Jamaican Rum
  • 8 oz Cognac
  • 6 oz Lime Juice
  • 6 oz Rich Demerara Syrup
  • 24 Ounces water or tea I used 8 bags of green tea in 24 ounces of water

Rich Demerara Syrup

  • 1 cup Demerara or turbinado sugar
  • ½ cup water


  • Combine all ingredients and stir well.
  • Put the punch in the fridge to chill.
  • For serving place a large format ice cube in a punch bowl and add chilled punch.
  • Garnish liberally with freshly grated nutmeg.

Sub Ingredient Instructions

  • Combine sugar and hot water
  • Mix until all the sugar is dissolved
  • Refrigerate until ready to use
