Ever made a cocktail that really, really shouldn’t work?

You look at the ingredients and it just doesn’t make sense. It might even sound just plain awful.

But then somehow, for some reason… it just works.

YEAH, THAT HAPPENED.

When Chris waltzed in the room with this cocktail and told me what was in it … I wasn’t very excited about taking that first sip. Mezcal, Green Chartreuse, an egg white alongside a grape and ginger syrup… (Really?)

He insisted it tasted good – and after some prodding I gave it a try.

Sometimes I hate when Chris is right.

WAIT, WAIT… DON’T TELL ME!

This is a funky drink with a whole lot of, “Wait, I know that flavor… what is it?” It’s long and complex and the flavor really changes a lot over the length of the palate. It’s a perplexing but tasty combination of flavors that oddly, actually works.

It doesn’t seem like these ingredients should go together… but they do!
