When properly made, a Sazerac is a thing of beauty – it is spicy, sweet, aromatic and complex.
  1. Chill serving glass with ice
  2. In a mixing glass add sugar and bitters, muddle into a syrup.
  3. Add whiskey and ice to the bitters glass and stir.
  4. Dump ice from serving glass and coat with absinthe.
  5. Garnish with a lemon twist
