Here’s our contribution to Mixology Monday and this time, it’ll be about Resin! Thank you, Christa and Shaun from BoozeNerds for hosting this event!  I was tempted to go the easy route and use gin, but decided instead to make a take on a Whiskey Sour with maple syrup infused with rosemary.

Mixology Monday & the “Resin” theme

  • 2 oz Bourbon I used Maker's Mark
  • 3/4 oz Lemon Juice
  • 3/4 oz Rosemary Infused Simple Syrup
  • 3/4 oz Egg Whites
  • 1 dash Cardamom Tincture
  • 1 twist Lemon for garnish

For Rosemary Infused Simple Syrup

  • 1/2 cup Maple Syrup
  • 2 sprigs Rosemary


  • Add the Makers Mark Bourbon, Lemon juice and Rosemary Infused Maple Syrup to a shaker.
  • Add the Egg Whites.
  • Add a dash of Cardamom Tincture.
  • Dry shake with a blender ball (if you have one), then add ice and shake to chill.
  • Strain and garnish.

To Make the Rosemary Maple Syrup:

  • Add half a cup of maple syrup to a microwave-proof bowl or measuring cup.
  • Add two sprigs of Rosemary.
  • Microwave for 30 seconds and allow to sit for 10 minutes.
  • Let cool and fine-strain before using.
